Jikiden Reiki has positively transformed my life

Debbie Cook

Are you ready to transform your life?

About me
My name is Debbie Cook and I live in the delightful Georgian town of Alresford near Winchester in the beautiful county of Hampshire. Discovering Reiki has changed my life immeasurably for the better. I would love to share that discovery with you through my Jikiden Reiki treatments and Jikiden Reiki training courses. Reiki is not just a job for me it is a way of life.

My Reiki discovery
I first discovered Reiki because my partner was experiencing business burn out. Having spent 25 years in a high pressured business life, he was suffering from pneumonia and work-related exhaustion. I dragged this rather reluctant and skeptical man to a Reiki session in the hope of helping him to find a way to combat the stress & tiredness which was invading our life. He experienced immediate improvement after only one session, and further improvement with more sessions. We both chose to learn more about Reiki and so my healing journey began.

I believe that Reiki offers a refreshing way of life which is much needed in these modern times of high pressure and stress. Once I found the authenticity and simplicity that is Jikiden Reiki I knew I was in the right place.

My life now
I give Jikiden Reiki & Reflexology treatments at my treatment room in central Alresford, Hampshire. I have recently been given the unique opportunity to provide weekly Jikiden Reiki and Reflexology sessions to the hard working staff at two sites within the Hampshire Hospitals Trust and am finding this work extremely rewarding.

I run Jikiden Reiki Courses every month at various venues around Hampshire. I can also bring trainings to a venue of your choice although I would need a minimum number of 4 students to run the course for you.

The amazing healing capabilities of Jikiden Reiki really hit home for me most when my 28 year old son was diagnosed with cancer. Self treatment provided me with much needed calming strength at this most difficult of times of being a mother. It also enabled me to give my son the support that he really needed. I treated him daily which helped with pain relief and boosting his immunity during chemotherapy. I later trained him in Jikiden Reiki too so that he could treat himself as part of his ongoing recovery plan. I am so pleased to say he is now back to being a fit and healthy positive young man again. I am driven to help others get through their most challenging of times by using the amazing power that Reiki provides us with.

I am passionate about sharing the skills and knowledge I have with you so that you can help yourself and your loved ones too. My training courses make Reiki available to anyone to use on themselves, friends and family in just two days. This can be further built into a Reiki career if you wish, with more training and support.

A growing community
Since 2008, I have taught many students in Hampshire and far away in Uruguay who are now using Jikiden Reiki for themselves and for others, many of whom started as treatment clients. I am very proud of our growing Jikiden community in Hampshire.

I have exciting plans for 2017 thus enabling me to travel to Europe and return to Uruguay to deliver more of my Jikiden Reiki training courses.

Together we enjoy, and spread awareness of, the amazing benefits that Jikiden Reiki can bring. Will you join us?

Reiki is not just a job for me, it is a way of living my life to the full and following my true passionDEBBIE COOK, FOUNDER OF JIKIDEN REIKI HEALING

I began my journey in Reiki by learning Western Reiki in early 2007. I then trained in Jikiden Reiki later in the same year, 2007. I have studied and practiced Jikiden Reiki in Kyoto, the place in Japan where Jikiden Reiki was founded in April 2008. I returned there for further training in September 2010 and April 2014. Learning Reiki in Japan where Reiki originated was a deeply profound experience, particularly my visits to Mount Kurama and the various key sites in Kyoto and Tokyo.

I have been practicing Jikiden Reiki in Hampshire regularly ever since and after several years of dedication, I became a fully qualified Shihan teacher in 2009. I am very fortunate now to be able to play an active role within the Jikiden Reiki Organisation and am directly supported by my Japanese teacher, Tadao Yamaguchi.

Before I discovered Reiki my previous career was in training and teaching excluded Year 11 students in Further Education. This extensive teaching experience enables me now to deliver my Jikiden Reiki Courses to the highest standard, always taking great care of the individual student’s needs.

I am a fully qualified Reflexologist, using AdRx (a system developed by my Teacher Gunnel Berry) and I am currently specialising in helping clients with chronic back pain and whiplash.

I trained in U.S.A as a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming.
I have also trained in Huna with Maggie Connor in Hawaii in 2010. This wider knowledge has given me a deeper understanding of how energy works from a ‘shamanic’ viewpoint.

I have a broad experience of helping clients with a range of physical issues.

Recent examples of issues that I have used Reiki to support clients in their own recovery are:-

Back and Chronic Pain issues
Sports injuries
Broken bones
Arthritis
Influenza
Chest Infections
Tonsillitis
Hernia
Toothache
Sinusitis
Headaches and Migraine
Exhaustion
Insomnia
Tinnitus
Chronic/Adrenal Fatique
Stress Related issues

In many cases, the clients have reported a speedier recovery period than expected and felt much better mentally too.
I have also experienced positive results using Jikiden Reiki to help several of my clients for non physical issues such as fear of drowning, grief, anxiety, worry & depression.
I have assisted clients that are being treated for cancer by using reiki to complement the conventional medical methods. Jikiden Reiki treatments can assist clients in coping with both the side effects of Chemotherapy and to give them a sense of peace and calm through what can be a very difficult and unsettling period of their lives.
